Wild Rice and Mushrooms in Sour Cream

Yield: Serves 6
- 1 pound mushrooms
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup sour cream
- salt and pepper
- a pinch mace
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 cup wild rice
- parsley
- crumbled crisp bacon
Slice the mushrooms coarsely and cook them in the butter. Add salt, pepper, mace, and red wine. When done add the sour cream and heat through. Meantime, cook and season the rice, and cook the bacon. Pour the mushrooms on a large hot platter and surround them with mounds of wild rice, decorate with parsley, and cover with crumbled bacon.
