Yield: 1 8- or 9-inch pie
I got this recipe from a restaurant that used to be here in PA. It is very simple to make and tastes great.Ingredients:
1 prepared graham cracker crust1 quart fresh, cleaned, and halved strawberries
1-1/2 cups water
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
pinch of salt
1 small package strawberry Jello
Instructions:
Bake pie shell for only eight minutes and cool.Clean and halve strawberries and set aside.
Cook the water, sugar, cornstarch and salt until thick and clear. Remove from heat and add the Jello. Cool until lukewarm.
Add strawberries to mixture and pour into a baked graham cracker crust.
Chill for 2 to 3 hours or until set.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy!!
