Yield: Makes about 12 cups.
A dry, unsweetened, fine-textured granola, especially tasty with fresh or dried fruit. Be sure to use raw wheat germ instead of the kind that comes toasted; otherwise it will brown too quickly.Ingredients:
6 cups rolled oats (not pre-cooked)1 cup raw bran
1 cup raw wheat germ
1/2 cup whole wheat flakes
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1 cup chopped almonds
1 cup unsweetened coconut
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients and spread in a thin layer on cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Repeat until all granola is baked. Store in canister or jar with tight-fitting lid. Add raisins, dates, chopped dried pineapple, or apricots if desired, after baking.Browse Similar Recipes
