This makes 6-8 sandwiches at once and is a different way to make a favorite for a group.
2 slices bread per sandwich
sliced old cheddar cheese
butter or margarine
Slice cheese to desired thickness, too thick it will not melt. Butter one side of both slices of bread. Place cheese on unbuttered side of bread, buttered side down. Cover with another slice of bread, buttered side up. Place 6-8 sandwiches on a cookie sheet. Put in oven under broiler. Broil until the bread is toasted to your liking. Flip sandwiches and toast other side.
