Yield: Makes 8 cups
Ingredients:
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar1/2 cup (3 tablespoons) unsalted butter
1 teaspoon fresh nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pound (6 cups) rolled oats
1-1/2 cups sliced almonds
1/2 cup dried currants
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried banana chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees . Combine brown sugar, butter, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a saucepan and stir over medium heat for 3 minutes until sugar dissolves. In a large bowl, combine oats and nuts with the sugar mixture until well coated. Spread mixture on a baking sheet and bake in the middle of the oven. Turn occasionally and bake until golden 15 to 20 minutes. Use caution as granola burns easily. Cool and toss with currants, cranberries, raisins, and banana chips.Browse Similar Recipes
