  • 4 potatoes butter
  • salt and pepper


Scrub and peel the potatoes and cut them in slices 1/4 inch thick. Soak the slices in ice water for an hour, then drain them well on paper towels. Dip the slices in melted butter and arrange them in large shallow pans. Shake salt and pepper on them and bake for 25-30 minutes in a 350 degrees F oven, stirring occasionally until they are nicely browned.
