Royal Icing

Yield: 2-1/2 cups

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 1 16-ounce package confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1/3 cup warm water
  • Moss-green paste food coloring (optional)

Instructions:

Beat meringue powder, confectioners’ sugar, and water with electric mixer at medium speed until blended. Add additional water, if needed. Beat at high speed until stiff peaks form, about 7 to 10 minutes. Divide mixture in half. Stir green paste food coloring into one portion for leaves.
