Sift flour - add in powder, soda and salt. Cream butter - add sugar, stir in vanilla, and eggs - until light and fluffy. Add flour - alternately with sour cream. Cover and chill for an hor or more to firm up dough. Remove 1/3 of dough to work at a time. Cut thick - 1/4" thickness. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake 9 to 10 minutes.
