Yield: Serves 6.

This is the dessert we choose to make on very special occasions. It's fabulous and always makes a big impression, especially when you put it together right at the table. Don't make it unless you have either fresh strawberries or fresh raspberries.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint French vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 4 tablespoons Grand Marnier liqueur
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries or raspberries

Instructions:

Soften the ice cream and fold the whipped cream into it. Add the Grand Marnier. Serve the berries in individual dessert dishes and pour the mixture over them.
