  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 12 slices white toasting bread, more if the bread is soft
  • Topping:
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 1-1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spread bottom of 9x13-inch pan with butter, cinnamon, and honey. Spray sides of pan with butter-flavored non-stick cooking spray and layer the bread on top. Combine the topping ingredients and pour over the bread. Bake 40 to 45 minutes, or until puffed and lightly browned.

Additional Notes:

*This recipe combines two others: one from Bette Culver, a visiting guest from Georgia, and the other from Maynard's: The American Country Inn and Bed-and-Breakfast Cookbook.
