Wedding Cake

Ingredients:

  • 18 pounds flour
  • 10 pounds sugar
  • 9 pounds butter
  • 18 eggs
  • 11 nutmegs
  • 5 quarts milk
  • 1 quart yeast
  • 10 pounds fruit
  • 1 ounce mace
  • 1 quart wine
  • 1 pint brandy

Instructions:

Roll the butter and sugar together. Add the yeast and warm milk. When light, add the other half. Put in fruit and bake.
