  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 12 soda crackers
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup whipped cream


Beat egg whites until stiff, adding sugar gradually. Crumble crackers and add to egg mixture. Add vanilla, baking powder, and walnuts and mix well. Pour into well-greased 9-inch pie pan and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool, top with whipped cream, and refrigerate about 5 hours before serving.
