You won't believe how a simple sauté transforms these green orbs into a "May I have more, please?" from the finickiest of diners.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, roots trimmed, thinly sliced
- Kosher or sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
In a large sauté pan over high setting, heat oil. Add Brussels sprouts and season well with salt and pepper. Don't move the pan for 1 minute, so that sprouts brown lightly. Then stir well and cook about 5 minutes, or until lightly browned and well wilted. Add lemon juice and stir well.
