Artist Sol Lewitt's Works at MassMoCA
100 Works Painted Directly on the Gallery Walls
For the MassMoCA exhibit, the installation process involved over 60 artists working for several months straight. Much like Sol Lewitt's art, this process may appear chaotic at times, but it was guided by a strict discipline that accounted for every brush stroke so that each shape, line, and shade conformed to Lewitt's vision. These photos by Lisa Sacco offer a glimpse of the process.
