The Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain in Vermont has what families and couples are looking for: relaxing time together in an otherwise hectic world. No other Vermont resort can offer the stunning location, wealth of amenities and unparalleled service that four generations of Beach Family offer. Our attentive staff is dedicated to making your stay one to remember. About 350 guests can be accommodated with roughly 325 staff members seeing to their every need. Basin Harbor’s more than 700 acres on Lake Champlain are part of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program. Children enjoy Kids Camp, a comprehensive program for ages 3-17, and yes we are a pet-friendly resort. 2011 is our 125th year…..stay tuned for anniversary plans. The resort is open from mid-may to mid-October.

BEST WATERFRONT RESORT
You’ll want to pack a trunk and spend all summer at this plush, 125-year-old Lake Champlain retreat. Golf, watercraft, formal dining, and cottage or lodge accommodations.

The Basin Harbor Club is situated on Lake Champlain, at a narrow point with dramatic views of the Adirondacks. It’s been operated by the Beach family since 1886, evolving from a guest farm into a 700-acre grand resort that caters to 380 lodgers with a staff of 330. Family-geared cottages are scattered along the lake. Basin Harbor amenities include an 18-hole golf course and a landing strip.

Imagine staying with old family friends at their Lake Champlain estate, and you’ll have an idea of what a Basin Harbor sojourn is like. Even your most comfortable friends, though, aren’t likely to have a fleet of watercraft, an 18-hole golf course, and a private airstrip. The lakeside cottage accommodations are superb, and the main dining room preserves the admirable custom of requiring gentlemen to wear jackets and ties after 6 p.m. Open mid-May to mid-Oct.
