Best Pretzel
These authentic German pretzels come in traditional shapes (laugenbretzelen), rolls (laugenwecken), and oblongs (laugenstangen). They come salted or unsalted, and with unsalted butter, but never, per the owner, with mustard.

Shun the new bypass or you’ll miss it. You can make-your-own sandwich: choose the bread and German lunch meats (how about bierwurst?) for your picnic. Stop for a bowl of hearty German soup (Jan.-May Thurs.-Fri.) or for a bratwurst lunch (Wed.) with hard rolls. The breads, especially the Bauernbrot and the Vollkornbrot (whole-grain, wheat-free rye), are reason enough to visit.
