When you’re planning your visit to Boston, save Wednesday afternoon and evening for the world-class MFA. Admission is by voluntary donation after 4 p.m., which still leaves plenty of time for you to see the Impressionist paintings, Paul Revere silver, Egyptian mummies, Persian miniatures, and Chinese jades. In July and August, every Wednesday is also Family Night Out, with free performances and art activities for kids and parents. And from mid-June through late August, the museum presents Concerts in the Courtyard offering an eclectic range of music, from electronica to folk-pop, flamenco to light jazz. Bring your own picnic or buy sandwiches, salads, and desserts on the spot.
