Best Wheelchair-Accessible Trail
The mile-long gravel Carson Trail loops through the reserve, passing tidal creeks, salt pans, and salt marshes, and providing excellent vistas for birdwatching. Interpretive signs explain sights.

The vast flocks of woodland and shore birds that reside here welcome you — as long as you’re quiet. This refuge amid the clatter of coastal southern Maine offers a quick escape to the outdoors on a one-mile self-guided nature trail.
