Michelle Obama's Recipe for Apple Cobbler

Obama cobbler and Biden cookies

"Bake at 300 for up to 3 hours -- that's what makes the crust flaky, like Barack likes it," says Michelle Obama of her apple cobbler recipe. "This recipe makes one cobbler, which is like a double pie."

If, for any reason, this recipe is unable to fulfill its duties on your menu, we offer a capable substitute, the recipe for Senator Biden's Favorite Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, which we're told is from the kitchen of Mary Ann Kelley.

The Obama and Biden campaigns submitted these recipe for Yankee's Presidential Cookie Primary. Winner of that election was Bill and Barbara Richardson's Biscochitos.

Here are some more cobbler and apple pie recipes from the Yankee recipe database.
