Chocolate Coconut Slice

Yield: About 30 squares/small slices
Hello from Australia. This recipe is a quick and easy slice that we make to have with coffee or as a sweet treat. It is probably a variation of an American brownie recipe.Ingredients:
1 cup flour1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup dessicated coconut
1/2 cup melted butter
Icing
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 cup cocoa powder
1 tablespoon melted butter
boiling water
shredded coconut
Instructions:
Sift flour and cocoa powder into a large bowl, add brown sugar and dessicated coconut, stir in melted butter and mix until well combined.Press into a shallow slice tray (7 by 10 inches) and bake in 350 degee oven for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and and allow to cool before icing.
To make icing:
Sift confectioners’ sugar into a bowl with cocoa powder, add melted butter and add boiling water gradually until the consistency of the icing is spreadable.
Spread over cooled slice and sprinkle shredded coconut onto the icing.
Cut into small squares and serve.
