A fine party dessert, this is best prepared in the morning and served at room temperature, covered with cold whipped cream. It is chewy and rich, and the recipe never fails.Ingredients:
1 cup sugar2-1/2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 cup nuts, coarsely broken
1 cup dates, chopped
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 egg yolks, beaten
Instructions:
Mix the ingredients, adding the egg yolks last, and bake in a large buttered Pyrex pie pan set in another pan of water at 400 degrees F for 40 minutes. Serve with sweetened whipped cream.Browse Similar Recipes
