Marti's Marvelous Blueberry Muffins

Yield: 18 muffins
These muffins are guaranteed to brighten up even the gloomiest New England morning.Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened1-1/2 cups sugar, plus 2 tablespoons sugar to sprinkle on top of muffin
2 eggs
2-1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2-1/2 cups fresh blueberries
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.Soften butter; add sugar. Mix at medium speed with electric mixer. Add eggs, beating well after each addition.
Add flour and baking powder. Mix in milk. With large spoon, fold in blueberries. Spread into greased muffin cups. Sprinkle tops with remaining 2 tablespoons sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes before serving. These freeze well.
