Yield: Makes about 2 cups
Chicken base tones down the sweetness. Enjoy this with roast duckling or chicken. --Larchwood Inn, Wakefield, Rhode IslandIngredients:
1 cup brown sugar1 cup water
6 ounces orange juice concentrate
1 tablespoon chicken stock base (like Spice Islands)
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup water
Thinly sliced orange
Instructions:
Combine brown sugar and water in saucepan and dissolve over medium heat. Add orange juice concentrate, chicken stock base, allspice, and granulated sugar. Once all the ingredients are dissolved, increase the heat to a boil and thicken with cornstarch and water. Add orange slices to the finished sauce as a garnish.Browse Similar Recipes
