Oven Baked Rice

Yield: Serves 6.

What's the best way to cook rice? Use this recipe for oven baked rice, but remember to use long-grain rice, not minute rice.

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups long-grain rice
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3-1/2 cups boiling water

Instructions:

Combine and stir all ingredients until the butter is melted. Cover and bake for 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Do not remove the lid while the rice is in the oven. When done, fluff lightly with fork.
