Yield: Serves 6

A luscious, cool, and creamy almond-flavored dessert that takes only minutes to prepare, but does require 4 to 6 hours freezing time. --Homestead Inn, Greenwich, Connecticut

Ingredients:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Amaretto
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 3 ounces macaroon crumbs

Instructions:

Combine egg yolks, whole eggs, and sugar and beat on high speed until thick and fluffy. Add liqueur. By hand add whipped cream and macaroon crumbs. Pour gently into soufflé dish and freeze at least 4-6 hours.
To serve, top with whipped cream and macaroon crumbs.
