Yield: 4-6 servings.
- 2 pounds cube steak
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2/3 cup flour
- 3 cups water
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 cup rice
Instructions:Salt and pepper fresh steaks and place in a baggie with flour. Close and shake well. Add steaks to hot oil in a skillet. Brown.
Discard any remaining oil.
In a bowl, add 1 cup water to mushroom soup and mix well.
Add to steaks. Cook on low heat for about 20 minutes.
While steaks are cooking, cook rice with remaining 2 cups of water, according to directions.
When done, place rice on plate, add steak, then add the gravy and enjoy!
